The Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) continues strengthening its commitment to the international scientific community. Thanks to its efforts, the International Congress on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Society (CITIS) has established itself as a key venue for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange. It publishes high-impact research with the support of publishers such as Springer and visibility in international indexes such as Scopus.
The tenth edition of CITIS 2024, held in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on July 18 and 19, 2024, brought together researchers from five countries who presented 188 scientific contributions. The accepted papers underwent a rigorous double-blind review process by an academic committee of 89 multidisciplinary experts. The topics covered included information and telecommunications, sustainability and the environment, mobility, and industry, which are fundamental for developing technological solutions for social well-being.
As a result of the event, the accepted articles were compiled in a book officially published by Springer. The book has already been submitted for indexing in international academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar, guaranteeing the author’s high-level scientific visibility.
This achievement represents a tangible demonstration of the success of CITIS’ editorial and academic process, generating complete confidence in the research community interested in participating in its next edition.
Following the success of CITIS 2024, the conference returns for its 11th edition from June 4 to 6, 2025, reaffirming its mission to promote academic debate on innovative solutions to current challenges. UPS invites the national and international scientific community to participate in Ecuador’s most important science and technology conference.
